Gates Millennium Scholars Program
The Gates Millennium Scholars Program is open to African-American, Native American, Hispanic-American and Asian-American high school seniors who are U.S. citizens (or permanent residents). The scholarship program will be administered by the United Negro College Fund which will serve as the fiscal authority. The Gates Millennium Scholars Program will provide $50 million in scholarship funds per year, financially assisting a total of 20,000 economically disadvantaged students over a 20-year period, beginning in the fall of 2000. In addition to your application, you must be nominated by an educator and submit a recommendation from someone who is familiar with your leadership or volunteer work.

General Hospital #2 Perpetual Trust Fund
To provide financial assistance to African American students at schools of nursing in the selected counties in Missouri and Kansas.

George B. Boland Nurses Training Scholarship Trust Fund
The Boland Nurses Scholarship Trust was founded to provide additional scholarship support to those Voitures Locale who have exhausted their scholarship funds but who still have qualified individuals applying for scholarships. The trust is administered by Voiture Nationale, and all determinations regarding the awarding of scholarships grants are made by the Boland Trust Committee consisting of three (3) members of La Societe. Only those Voitures Locale who have an official Nurses Training Program in place may apply to the Boland Trust for further assistance, as the Trust Fund is intended as a a supplement to, and not a replacement for, a local nurses training program.

Georgia Nurses Foundation Scholarships
The Georgia Nurses Foundation announces a call for applications for the annual Georgia Nurses Foundation and the Georgia Nurses Association scholarship awards. These programs include: the Katherine Pope Scholarship awarded by the Georgia Nurses Foundation; the Annie Lou Overton Scholarship for the Georgia Nurses Association. These programs provide financial assistance to qualified applicants studying nursing in an accredited school, college or university. Applicants may be enrolled full or part-time in a graduate or undergraduate nursing program. Interested students must have a GPA of at least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale in prior academic work and be able to verify financial need.

Glaxo Wellcome/American Nurses Foundation Scholar Award Program
To provide funding to nurses interested in conducting research on irritable bowel syndrome.

To provide financial assistance to residents of West Virginia who are pursuing a degree in nursing at selected universities in the state.

Gustavus B. Capito Fund for Nursing Education
Applicant must be a West Virginia resident enrolled full time at a college or university located in the Greater Kanawha Valley area, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, demonstrate good moral character, and demonstrate financial need. Must be in a field of study in Nursing.
